We organised our first fundraising dinner and auction with the Robert Levy Foundation on Wednesday 8 May 2013
Our first fundraising dinner took place and was it hard work! But there’s no doubt it was worthwhile… 95 guests paid £130 each to join us, enjoy a great meal only Gilgamesh could serve up, and entertainment by some of the young people who have been helped by the projects and organisations our two charities support. Ed Rising, our indefatigable auctioneer, sold nine out of ten items and had our guests laughing throughout. The list will be be updated shortly before the eBay auction goes live.
This is what we hosted at the fantastic Gilgamesh restaurant in Camden Town:
A champagne reception with live music by Michael Palmer
A pan-Asian fusion dinner and wine by the award-winning chef Ian Pengelly
Hosted by Mr Cee (with thanks to The Comedy School)
A short performance of “Finding the Word” (arranged by Arc Theatre)
Songs from Camara Fearon and Venus Bush Fires (through the Robert Levy Foundation)
A live auction by Ed Rising, our Sothebys auctioneer
A disco hosted by DJ Ricardo Centurion
If you couldn’t make it, maybe you’d like to leave a donation!
